ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) examination recognized by Macmillan Education and UNSW Global conducted in 20+ countries with almost 9 million students’ participation was held in Averroes International School on 6th and 7th October 2017 with the cooperation of official partner of Macmillan Education SLAT Lab. ICAS does not assess how well the students remember the content they have been taught; it assesses the quality of thought and problem-solving skills needed for success in English, Mathematics, Science and Digital Technology. 88 students of Averroes International School have been awarded along with High Distinction position in Mathematics, English & Science.
One of the students of Grade III Boys Mohammad Abdullah holds the record of achieving ‘High Distinction’ in both the Mathematics & Science while Student of Grade V (Girls) Rayeba Sultana Raimy has achieved ‘High Distinction’ in English Language with an outstanding mark. According to the examination award system only 1% of the total participants receives ‘High Distinction’ Award.
The Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Jamal Uddin Mir (In charge Muhammadpur Thana),The Chariman Khan Mohammad Akhteruzzaman, The Head of School Anisur Rahman Shohagh & The Finance Director Hazi Mohammad Golam Mustafa have rewarded the students with great appreciation. 17 students achieved ‘Distinction’ Award in Science, Mathematics & English with Brilliant performance. Raidah Shahriar, Zimraan Ahmed Alam & Md. Ahnaf Sabit of Grade III as well as Wahab Uz Zaman Sharif Shams of Grade VI have received ‘Distinction’ Award in Science. Zaid Ibn Hasan , Md. Ahnaf Sabit & Anushka Minha Numa of Grade III have achieved ‘Distinction’Award in Mathematics. Rabeya Sultana Raimy from Grade V, Wahab Uz Zaman Sharif Shams from Grade VI, Nowrin Chowdhury Ayesha from Grade VI and Fatima Binte Afzal from Grade VIII have received ‘Distinction’Award in Mathematics. Student of Grade IV Muhammad Mustafa, Students of Grade VII Jeshan Alam, Farabi Hossain and Saiba Mariam achieved ‘Distinction’Award in English whilst student of Grade VIII Sayeda Samihat Fabiha has also received the ‘Distinction’Award in English.
